After Isadora, the signature piece of this collaboration, we wanted to revisit an
iconic lamp from the Al Oeste universe.
A lamp we already loved for its
timeless silhouette and its hand-shaped ceramic base, which we decided to dress with our Maison Janette perspective:
our fabrics, our patterns, our love of colour and character!
The result: Jeanne and Céleste, two sisters, the same shape, but two very distinct personalities ❤
From shaping the ceramic base to sewing the lampshade, each lamp is entirely handmade in Constance’s workshops in Marseille
The lampshade is made from our
thick cotton, ecru and unbleached, woven in the
Vosges and then printed in
Northern France with our Clairette pattern, a fine stripe punctuated with our signature polka dots.
Smaller than Isadora, Jeanne and Céleste easily find their place in everyday spaces: on a bedside table, a small side table, a small chest of drawers, in a bathroom or tucked into a bookcase
Céleste takes a different direction, more
graphic and
mineral. Her base in white grogged clay, left
raw, reveals the full richness of the material. Paired with our
Clairette black-and-white pattern, it creates a subtle, timeless contrast, perfect for a more soothing atmosphere.
Entirely handmade, each lamp reveals its own nuances and imperfections. These natural variations, inherent to the materials and the artisan’s hand, are part of its identity and its charm.
Pieces designed to last, to accompany interiors over time… and perhaps, one day, to be passed on!
