After Isadora, the signature piece of this collaboration, we wanted to revisit an
iconic lamp from the Al Oeste universe.
A lamp we already loved for its
timeless silhouette and its hand-shaped ceramic base, and which we have come to dress with our Maison Janette perspective:
our fabrics, our patterns, our love of colour and character!
Result: Jeanne and Céleste, two sisters, the same shape, but two very distinct personalities ❤
From shaping the ceramic base to sewing the lampshade, each lamp is entirely handmade in Constance’s workshops in Marseille.
The lampshade is made from our
thick cotton, unbleached and natural, woven in the
Vosges and then printed in the
North of France with our
Clairette pattern, a fine stripe punctuated with our signature polka dot.
Jeanne is the more
radiant of the two sisters. Her stoneware base, covered with a deep red glaze, pairs with our Clairette pattern in poppy red and mocha, and diffuses a warm light with subtly reddish-pink reflections. A soft yet confident presence that immediately brings warmth to a room.
Smaller than Isadora, Jeanne and Céleste easily find their place in everyday spaces: on a bedside table, a small side table, a little chest of drawers, in a bathroom or tucked into a bookcase
Entirely handmade, each lamp reveals its own nuances and irregularities. These natural variations, inherent to the materials and the artisan’s hand, are part of its identity and charm.
Pieces designed to last, to accompany interiors over time… and perhaps, one day, to be passed on!
